The objective in developing the UltraChrome pigment ink was to combine the properties of long-term and short-term colour stability of pigment inks with the colour scale of dye inks. This new colour ink system includes light black as the seventh colour, which makes it possible to achieve softer gradations in the case of black and white printing, as well as two types of black ink, matt & photo, ensuring that optimal quality can be achieved on all media types.
